NCC CLOSES MICHIGAN ISP SALE

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN  — New Commerce Communications Inc (NCC) today announced the closing of the sale of the ISP assets of Quantum Connections LLC (Quantum) to ACD.net. Quantum, based in St. Joseph, Michigan serves over 8,000 Internet subscribers in southwest Michigan. NCC represented Quantum in the transaction. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ACD is a fast growing regional Broadband Internet Service Provider headquartered in East Lansing, Michigan. Kevin Schoen, ACD founder and president said, “Quantum has an excellent reputation and group of top notch professionals which we intend to build on. The acquisition allows our firm to provide additional services to small to mid size business throughout southwest Michigan in areas generally under served by larger firms. He added that customers will see no change in service levels other than continued improvements in Telecom related services.

According to Tom Millitzer, President of NCC, This acquisition brings together two firms that truly complement each other geographically and skill sets. The customers of both firms will benefit from the transaction. Millitzer also noted that Quantum was courted by several firms.
